DOG TALES Splash Pool Rules

For the safety of dogs and humans, you and your pet included, this is our vaccination protocol:

--Rabies, Distemper and Parvo (current vaccination or titers are acceptable); Bordetella vaccination (bi-annual vaccine). We recommend Influenza and Leptospirosis, although we do not require them at this time. Beginning January 1, 2019, Influenza vaccines will be required.

You are responsible for your dog's behavior during SPLASH sessions. There is no lifeguard on duty, so please use caution at all times.

All dogs must remain on a leash unless inside the gated SPLASH pool area.

The SPLASH pool is available on a first come first serve basis during normal business hours of operation; you may have your dog join another dog in the pool if mutually agreed on by any visiting owners.

Children attending the dog pool area must be accompanied and supervised by an adult, and they are not allowed in the pool!

If an AACC team member is concerned at any time about your dog's behavior or anticipates a potentially dangerous situation, you may be asked to take a time-out with your pet for everyone's safety.

No food or drink is allowed in the SPLASH area.

Please refrain from running around the pool area and use complete caution when approaching the edge and steps of the SPLASH pool.

Please remember to not feed your dog immediately before a SPLASH session and ensure that your dog has had an appropriate potty break before entering the SPLASH area.

If your dog is muddy or dirty, we ask that you pre-wash them before entering the pool. This is the same for excessive shedding, brushing before swimming is important to keeping our pool clean for everyone!

If your pet is going to be swimming in an excess of 15 minutes, please remember to take frequent "bathroom breaks" outside in the yard area. If a pet continues to make repeated "droppings" in the pool, it may result in a SPLASH pool ban for your dog.

If you notice your dog having difficulty swimming, breathing, running or any issues while in the SPLASH pool area, please notify a staff member immediately.

Please do not enter the gated pool area without notifying a staff member that you are ready to swim your dog.

For health reasons, dogs in heat, with urinary incontinence, open sores, or excessive skin lesions will not be permitted in the pool.

Tips on what to bring for a successful Splash session:

For your Dog: a standard collar and leash, towels are provided but you may need extra for your car, floating toys (we have a lot but you can bring your own, every dog has their favorite toy and treat!)

For You: water shoes (highly recommended), Clothes that can get wet, and a towel. We have space available for your personal belongings. We also have waders available for you to slide into to prevent your clothes from getting wet if you prefer and a private changing area; Bring a smile and be ready for some fun!

By checking below you certify that you are the owner and or agent of the above animal and have the authorization to consent to understanding the Pool Rules. I understand that I am responsible for all fees incurred which are due at the time of service to Advanced Animal Care of Colorado.
