Our Support Team
Teressa, Lead Certified Veterinary Technician
Teressa moved to Colorado in 2006 from Western Michigan to attend Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. She received her AAS and Veterinary Technician Certification in 2007. Teressa worked as a CVT in a small animal clinic for five years in Denver before moving to Fort Collins in July 2013 with her husband, Tyler. Teressa and Tyler have a sweet 3 legged rescue dog named Simone and a lively Brittany Spaniel named Gunner. When Teressa is not helping animals here at AACC, she loves spending time with her husband and dogs, hiking, snowboarding, baking cupcakes and horseback riding.
Rachel, DOGTALES Manager
Rachel was born and raised in Illinois where she graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After graduating in 2014, she moved to Colorado with her girlfriend and crew of animals, which include 2 dogs, 3 cats, and reptiles. Rachel has worked in the animal field for over 5 years. When she is not loving on animals she enjoys being outdoors and listening to music.
Kelsey, Customer Service Representative Manager
Kelsey moved to Colorado when she was seven years-old from California, but if you ask her, Colorado will forever be her home. Kelsey has been part of the AACC family since May 2015 where she started as a Client Service Representative and has since moved into the Front Office Manager position. She is the proud owner of a beautiful seven year-old deaf Blue Heeler mix named Tula, a six year-old rescue cat named Demmi, and a ten month-old spunky stray kitten named Tobias. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Matt, and together they love travelling and spending time on the lake. Every summer Kelsey and her husband spend two weeks in Maine visiting with family and travelling to see as many light houses as they can.
Sara L., Certified Veterinary Technician
Sara is a Fort Collins, CO native. She received her Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 2011 and has been working at AACC since the spring of 2012. She has always had a true love for animals and the Colorado mountains. She has run an in-home animal care business in the Wellington, Livermore, and Red Feather Lakes areas for 8 years and also works at Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch in Red Feather Lakes, CO guiding horseback rides in the Roosevelt National Forest every summer. Sara lives in Livermore, CO with her husband, their two sons, two dogs, two cats, and three horses. In her free time, Sara enjoys time outside hiking, fishing, horseback riding, snowboarding, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Erica, Veterinary Technician
Erica grew up in New Mexico and Minnesota. She graduated from Argosy University in 2011 as Veterinary Technician. She moved to Fort Collins in the summer of 2013 to experience the Colorado lifestyle. Since moving to Colorado, Erica truly loves fishing, hiking, camping, swimming, exploring, and otherwise enjoying the great outdoors. Erica's true passion aside from exploring is animals! Caring, focused and passionate, Erica has provided a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our team when it comes to patient and client care.
Tyler, Veterinary Technician
Tyler, a native to this mountainous state, was born and raised in Colorado Springs. To pursue her passion to care for animals, she graduated in 2014 from the Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technology. After graduation, Tyler spent many years working as a technician at other clinics where she found her way to Fort Collins. On her days off, you can find her at the shooting range, going out with friends or playing her her Border Collie, Silas.

Courtney, Veterinary Technician
Courtney was barn and raised in San Jose, CA before moving to Farmington Mills, MI with her family. In 2016, she made the decision to move to Denver to pursue vet tech school at Bel-Rea Institute, sadly leaving her two dogs who she grew up with. After completing her internship with AACC and graduating in Dec 2018, she joined AACC's technician team and is excited to be able to care for every pet that walks in the door. She has two rescued retired greyhounds named Baxter and Moose, as well as a nine month old tabby cat named Tubz.
Amanda, Veterinary Assistant
Amanda has been part of the AACC family since 2014 and has filled different roles in her time here. When not spending time caring for her two dogs, Merlin and Lucca, horse named Rocky, her guinea pigs, Mukota, Duroc, and Owen, she can be found eating hand-picked artisanal M&M's or Fruit Loops. If she is not working for a veterinarian, Amanda is probably studying to become one as a student at Colorado State University seeking to acquire her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. It has been said that if the moon is right, and you are patient enough, then you may just spot her riding horses, cuddling with her animals, or playing ice hockey.
Shoko, Veterinary Assistant
Shoko has been with AACC since early 2015. Shoko considers herself a Colorado native having mostly grown up here although she was born in Iwakuni, Japan. At AACC, she particularly loves the client education piece of her job and helping clients understand the veterinary care of their furry family members. Shoko likes to spend times between shifts with her boyfriend out riding dirt-bikes, camping, and going to music festivals and shows, relaxing at home enjoying video games, or playing with their numerous animals - between the two of them, there are six dogs, five cats, two horses, and two sweet little rats in the house.
Erin, Veterinary Assistant
Erin was born and raised in California and has since followed a passion for travel that has taken her around the globe. After spending four years living abroad in China, she decided to change her course and go back to school. This brought her to Fort Collins, with her rescue Chinese street cat, Zuma, where she plans on attending CSU for veterinary medicine in the next few years. She started as a DOGTALES attendant in January 2014 and became the lead in May 2014. As of October 2016, she moved over to the hospital side and is learning a lot as a veterinary assistant while she's in school working her way toward becoming a veterinarian.
Elisha, Veterinary Assistant
Elisha was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona where she always had a passion for animals. She moved to Fort Collins in 2015 to start her Bachelor's Degree in Equine Sciences at Colorado State University. Elisha plans to continue on to pursue her DVM after graduating in the fall. When not working at AACC, she is hiking in the mountains, traveling around the world, going to music festivals, or hanging out with Rob, her boyfriend, their dog named Bella, three snakes named Saphira, Smaug, and Pablo, along with their two geckos, Bambi and Faline.

Maile, Customer Service Representative
As a graduate from Colorado State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science, Maile enjoys working in the industry with horses as well as companion animals. She joined the AACC family back in 2015 and enjoys being an advocate for owners and their pets. Since she was young, she has always been an animal fanatic and spends all her time around her furry friends. She has a sweet, adorable dachshund named Pebbles, a ball-obsessed lab named Lula, an attention-hogging Bernese Mountain Dog puppy named Flynn Ryder, a cuddly kitty called Ravenclaw, and a Gypsy Paint horse, Indy. When she's not tending to her zoo at home, Maile enjoys going on trail rides, reading and going to Harry Potter World in Orlando, FL.
Abby, Customer Service Representative
Abby has lived in COlorado for a little over a year and has really found herself at home. She loves animals but is particularly fond of her precious but overly-attached husky mix, Arlo. She also enjoys kickboxing, brunch, and craft beer. She tried to get out into the mountains when she can but will often opt for bike rides around town with her pup. This is her first job in a veterinary office and she has enjoyed adjusting to the atmosphere and learning new things. When you meet her the first thing she'll ask is if she can pet your dog. She also likes to dance with penguins in her kitchen.
Dailyn, Customer Service Representative
Dailyn is a Colorado native who moved to Fort Collins in 2014 to study Conservation Biology at CSU. She and her husband have two dogs, Maggie and Finn, and they enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and mountain biking. Among working with animals as one of her passions, she is a world traveler - going to places like Ecuador, Panama and Kenya to study how climate change is affecting biodiversity.

Krista, DOGTALES Attendant
Krista was born and raised in eastern Nebraska and moved to Fort Collins in 2013. She absolutely adores her little family, which included her husband Sam, and her two doggies, Lola and Norman. She is going back to school with hopes to either become a veterinary technician or to open up an animal rescue/shelter. When she is not concentrating on her fur children and animals in general, Krista enjoys being in the outdoors and rafting the white waters of the Poudre River.
Zach, DOGTALES Attendant
Zach was born and raised in Southern California where he spent his days lounging on the beach with his best pups Blummer and Ellie. College brought his back to Colorado where he first aspired to be a Biomedical Science major with a pre-vet track. After some soul searching, he switched his major to computer science where he found his true passion to be a technological wizard. He joined the AACC team in November of 2015. He now enjoys bringing his shared-custody pup, Blazer Blaze, to daycare, hitting a wiffle ball around, and taking hikes around Colorado.
Lesley, DOGTALES Attendant
Lesley was born and raised in Colorado and is attending her third year of school at CSU in Biomedical Sciences, with the goal of attending veterinary school in the future. She has a goldendoodle that lives at home with her family, but he obviously enjoys visiting his sister in Fort Collins more. In her free time, she enjoys adventuring in the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and playing music.
Delani, DOGTALES Attendant
Delani was born and raised in Fort Collins. Aa a CSU alum with a degree in Zoology, Delani has a passion for animal behavior. Although she previously helped train mountain lions, bobcats, and bighorned sheep, Delani has spent the last four years studying to become a KPA-CTP and CPDT certified trainer, and hopes to continue training animals in the years to come. She has been in the animal care field for over ten years and has been employed as a kennel technician in daycare and boarding for five years. If she's not with dogs, chances are you will find her with her horses, adventuring with friends or on a mountain side sketching!

Kayleigh, Lead Groomer
Kayleigh is a northern Colorado native with a big interest in animal behavior, dogs specifically. She has been a practicing all-breed groomer since 2013 and loves every minute of it. When she's not helping animals feel and look their best, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her best friend, a sweet pit-bull mix named Sammi. She also loves live music, disc golf, yoga, and spending time with her boyfriend and her cat, Lyla.
Breanne was born and raised in Connecticut until she moved to Colorado in 2015. She is currently going to school at Colorado State University here in Fort Collins to pursue a fish, wildlife, and conservation biology degree. She recently adopted her first fur baby, Goose, the cattle dog mix.

Hope Mielke, Puppy Class Trainer
Hope has spent her entire life immersed in canine culture, starting with dog-sitting and grooming school. She has been training dogs for over 14 years and considers herself a cross-over trainer that focuses on positive reinforcement. She is dedicated to teaching owners how to communicate, and relate to, their dogs. Families are always welcome to participate in her canine training classes as she encourages children to be present in the classes with their parents. When she has the opportunity, Hope enjoys competing in AKC trials with her collies. Hope has also been active as a 4-H dog project leader teaching showmanship, obedience, and agility to 4-H members. She would like to offer conformation show preparation classes in the future.
