Rebecca, Hospital Manager 

Rebecca recently moved to Colorado from Indiana where she managed a 24 Hour Emergency and General Practice. She has been working in the Veterinary field for over 11 years after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from Indiana University. Prior to her role in Indiana she lived in Brooklyn, New York where she began her veterinary career. She enjoyed eight years in New York where she worked for a feline only, small veterinary hospital as well as a national Emergency and Specialty Center. Rebecca has two black cats named Merle and Bernie. She enjoys the Colorado landscape and loves heading to the mountains on the weekends.

Teressa, Lead Certified Veterinary Technician

Teressa moved to Colorado in 2006 from Western Michigan to attend Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. She received her AAS and Veterinary Technician Certification in 2007. Teressa worked as a CVT in a small animal clinic for five years in Denver before moving to Fort Collins in July 2013 with her husband Tyler. Teressa and Tyler have a sweet 3 legged rescue dog named Simone and a lively Brittany Spaniel named Gunner. When Teressa is not helping animals here at AACC, she loves spending time with her husband Tyler and her dogs, hiking, snowboarding, baking cupcakes and horseback riding.

Rachel, DOG TALES LeadRachel, DOG TALES Lead

Rachel was born and raised in Illinois where she graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After graduating in 2014 she moved to Colorado with her girlfriend and crew of animals, which include 2 dogs, 3 cats, and reptiles. Rachel has worked in the animal field for over 5 years. When she is not loving on animals she enjoys being outdoors and listening to music.

TECHNICIANS

Sara L, Certified Veterinary Technician

Sara is a Fort Collins, CO native. She received her Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 2011 and has been working at AACC since the spring of 2012. She has a true love for animals and the CO mountains. She has run an in-home animal care business in the Wellington, Livermore, and Red Feather Lakes areas for two years. For the past six years she has also worked at Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch in Red Feather Lakes, CO guiding horse back rides in the Roosevelt National Forest. Sara lives in Red Feather Lakes with her husband, 7-year-old son, a new baby, their three dogs, two cats, three horses, and one cockatoo. In her free time Sara enjoys time outside hiking, fishing, horseback riding, snowboarding, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

 Amber, Certified Veterinary Technician & SPLASH Coach

An Arizona native, born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Amber graduated from Pima Community College in the Spring of 2015 with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, and has since gone on to obtain her license as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Before coming to Colorado in 2016, Amber spent some time traveling the country volunteering and working in a variety of different clinical settings. Her areas of interest include Nutrition, Toxicology, Emergency/Critical Care, and Rehabilitation. On her off days, she enjoys being outdoors hiking, backpacking, fishing, bouldering, and horseback riding. She is the proud owner of two horses (a Missouri Foxtrotter “Georgia” and a Quarter Horse Mare named “Lil’ Bit”), Border Collie mix “Sadie,” a very rambunctious cat by the name of “Alfie,” and a very lively, friendly flock of nine hens.

Erica, Veterinary Technician & SPLASH Coach

Erica grew up in New Mexico and Minnesota. She graduated from Argosy University in 2011 as a Veterinary Technician. She moved to Fort Collins summer of 2013 to experience the Colorado lifestyle. Since moving to Colorado, Erica truly loves fishing, hiking, camping, swimming, exploring, and otherwise enjoying the great outdoors. Erica's true passion aside from exploring is animals! Caring, focused and passionate, Erica has provided a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our team when it comes to patient and client care. 

Tyler, Veterinary Technician

Tyler, a native to this mountainous state, was born and raised in Colorado Springs. To pursue her passion to care for animals, she graduated in 2014 from the Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technology. After graduation, Tyler spent many years working as a technician at other clinics where she found her way to Fort Collins following Dr. Woodley. On her days off, you can find her at the shooting range, going out with friends or playing with her Border Collie, Silas. 

Amanda, Veterinary AssistantAmanda, Veterinary Assistant

If you have been to the hospital since 2014, you have likely seen Amanda, whether up front as a CSR or in the back as a veterinary assistant. When not spending time caring for her two dogs, Merlin and Lucca, Amanda can be found eating hand-picked artisanal M&M's or Fruit Loops. If she is not working for a veterinarian, Amanda is probably studying to become one as a student at Colorado State University seeking to acquire her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. It has been said that if the moon is right, and you are patient enough, then you may just spot her riding horses, cuddling with her dogs, or playing ice hockey.

Shoko, Veterinary Assistant

Shoko has been with AACC since early 2015. Shoko considers herself a Colorado native having mostly grown up here although she was born in Iwakuni, Japan. At AACC, she particularly loves the client education piece of her job and helping clients understand the veterinary care of their furry family members. Shoko likes to spend time between shifts with her boyfriend out camping, riding dirtbikes, going to music festivals and shows, relaxing at home enjoying video games, or playing with some of their numerous animals - between the two of them, there are six dogs, five cats, two horses, and two sweet little rats in the house.

Erin, Veterinary Assistant

Erin was born and raised in California and has since followed a passion for travel that has taken her around the globe. After spending four years living abroad in China she decided to change her course and go back to school. This brought her to Fort Collins, with her rescued Chinese street cat, Zuma, where she plans on attending CSU for veterinary medicine in the next few years. She started as a Dog Tales attendant since January of 2014 and became the lead in May. As of October 2016, she moved over to the hospital side and is learning a lot as a veterinary assistant while she's in school working her way toward being a veterinarian.

Michelle is a Colorado native who has wanted to be in the veterinary field since she was 5 years old. She graduated from FRCC in 2014 and become a certified technician in March of 2015. She has worked in many different aspects of the veterinary field but has found her passion being a tech. When she's not at work, you can find her hanging out with family or playing/training with her three dogs; Shadow an eight-year old Australian Kelpie, Toby a three-year old mutt, and Winter a six-month old mutt who is deaf. 

  Jennifer, Veterinary Assistant

Born and raised in CO, Jennifer grew up with many different animals in her home beyond her dogs and cats such as hamsters, lizards, fish, and even a chinchilla. She loves everything outdoors like snowboarding, camping, and fishing. Her husband and herself are proud pet parents of 3 amazing dogs; Mia a Golden Retriever, Mo an Australian Shepherd, and Bruno a Bernese Mountain Dog. Fulfilling her dreams of working working with animals, Jennifer graduated from Bel-Rea for Veterinary Technician Training and will be testing to become certified this year.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES

  Kelsey, Customer Service Representative Manager

​For the last 3 years, Kelsey has been part of the AACC family. Kelsey is the proud mom of a deaf 6 year-old Blue Heeler Mix named Tula and a 5 year-old rescue cat named Demmi. Recently she married her high school sweetheart, Matt, and together they love spending time outdoors and on the lake. When Kelsey isn’t traveling to Maine, spending time out in the sun or reading, she enjoys visiting her family. 

Maile, Customer Service Representative

As a graduate from Colorado State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science, Maile enjoys working in the industry with horses as well as companion animals. She joined the AACC family back in 2015 and enjoys being an advocate for owners and their pets. Since she was young, she has always been an animal fanatic and spends all her time around her furry friends. She has a sweet, adorable dachshund named Pebbles, a ball-obsessed lab named Lula, a cuddly kitty called Ravenclaw, and a Gypsy Paint horse, Indy. When she's not tending to her zoo at home, Maile enjoys going on trail rides, reading and going to Harry Potter World in Orlando. 

 Jenny, Customer Service Representative

 After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado and obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Exercise Science,  Jenny continued on to teach physical education programs and as a tennis coach. Her love of animals brought her to join the AACC family in 2016. Jenny is a Colorado native and mom to two amazing rescue mutts, Xan and Jaxson. She is a lover of sports (Go Broncos!), outdoor and exercise activities, yoga, food, margaritas, and flannels. When she's not working, you can usually find her teaching or playing tennis, taking pictures of her dogs, or napping.

Dailyn, Customer Service Representative

Dailyn, Customer Service Representative

Dailyn is a Colorado native who moved to Fort Collins in 2014 to study Conservation Biology at CSU. She has two dogs, Maggie and Finn, and she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and mountain biking. In 2016 Dailyn received her yoga teaching certification and has been teaching ever since. In addition, she is a major travel bug, spending a few weeks in the past two years in Kenya, Panama, and Ecuador, studying conservation and human dimensions.

Abby, Customer Service Representative

Abby is a transplant from Michigan whose love of travel brought her to Fort Collins in August 2017. She enjoys outdoor activity as well as exploring music and film. She grew up in a house with all different types of creatures big and small and established a love for dogs early on. When she isn’t working, she enjoys hiking, boxing, and hanging out with her sweet, anxious, and co-dependent husky Arlo.

Zach, DOG TALES Attendant

Zach was born and raised in Southern California where he spent his days lounging on the beach with his best pups Blummer and Ellie. College brought him to Colorado where he first aspired to be a Biomedical Science major with a pre-vet track. After some soul searching, he switched his major to computer science where he found his true passion to be a technological wizard. He joined the AACC team in November of 2015. He now enjoys bringing his shared-custody pup, Blazer Blaze, to daycare, hitting a wiffle ball around, and taking hikes around Colorado. 

Krista, DOG TALES Attendant

Krista was born and raised in eastern Nebraska and moved to Fort Collins in 2013. She absolutely adores her little family, which includes her boyfriend, Sam and her two doggies, Lola and Norman. She is going back to school in the fall with hopes to either become a veterinary technician or to open up an animal rescue/shelter.  When she is not concentrating on her fur children and animals in general, Krista enjoys being in the outdoors and rafting the white waters of the Poudre River.

Sara is a California native from Los Angeles, transplanted to Fort Collins to pursue her interests in animals. She recently graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors of Sciences in Equine Sciences and plans on using her knowledge to pursue a career in behavior, training, and cognition of domestic animals.

Lesley, DOG TALES Attendant

Lesley was born and raised in Colorado and is attending her third year of school at CSU in Biomedical Sciences, with the goal of attending veterinary school in the future. She has a goldendoodle that lives at home with her family, but he obviously enjoys visiting his sister in Fort Collins more. In her free time, she enjoys adventuring in the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and playing music.

Delani, DOG TALES Attendant

Delani was born and raised in Fort Collins. A CSU alum with a degree in Zoology, Delani has a passion for animal behavior. Although she previously helped train mountain lions, bobcats, and bighorn sheep, Delani has spent the last year and a half studying to become a certified dog trainer. She been in the animal care field for ten years and has been employed as a kennel technician in daycare and boarding for a little over three years. If she's not with dogs, chances are you will find her with her horses, adventuring with friends or on a mountain side sketching!

 

GROOMERS

Kayleigh, Lead Groomer

Kayleigh is a northern Colorado native with a big interest in animal and animal behavior, dogs especially. She has been a practicing all breed groomer since 2013 and loves every minute of it. When she's not helping animals feel and look their best, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her best friend, a sweet pit-bull mix named Sammi. She  also loves live music, disc golf, yoga and spending time with her boyfriend and her car, Lyla.

Breanne, Groomer

Breanne was born and raised in Connecticut until she moved to Colorado in 2015. She is currently going to school at Colorado State University here in Fort Collins to a pursue fish, wildlife, and conservation biology degree. She recently adopted her first fur baby, Goose the cattle dog mix.

TRAINERS

Hope Mielke, Puppy Class Trainer

Hope has spent her entire life immersed in canine culture, starting with dog-sitting and grooming school. She has been training dogs for over 14 years and considers herself a cross-over trainer that focuses on positive reinforcement. She is dedicated to teaching owners how to communicate, and relate to, their dogs. Families are always welcome to participate in her canine training classes as she encourages children to be present in the classes with their parents. When she has the opportunity, Hope enjoys competing in AKC trials with her collies. Hope has also been active as  a 4-H dog project leader teaching showmanship, obedience, and agility to 4-H members. She would like to offer conformation show preparation classes in the future.
